How do I book a tour?

How do I book a custom tour and how much does it cost?
Every tour is different and catered to your individual passions and interests. Contact us with your questions or list of must-dos and you’ll hear back from us as soon as possible.
Should I tip my tour guide?
Tipping is always appreciated if your guide went above and beyond. It should be noted that tipping is not mandatory but rather a nice way to say “Thank you” and show your appreciation for a job well done.
Can I give a tour as a gift?
Absolutely! Choose the tour you’d like to give and how many people you would like to give it to and we will issue a gift certificate that lasts for 2 years from the date of purchase.
Do you handle travel, hotel or other reservations?
While we are not a concierge service but a tour service, we can make recommendations on hotels and events and help with planning your trip to Vicksburg. Simply reach out to us and we will help make this the most memorable vacation of your lives.
Can I take a tour if I am handicapped?
Many of the best sites we offer on our tours are ADA accessible, but a few due to historical reasons are not. Please let us know about any mobility issues or disabilities in advance so we can properly inform you and make your vacation experience easy and memorable.
Do you mail tickets to me?
No we do not mail tickets. We will send you a receipt via email or text (your choice) and then your reservation will be saved by email.
Are these walking, shuttle, bus or car tours?
It is whatever you want it to be. We will ask you about mobility, weather at the time of your visit, etc. and make recommendations based on your needs. Simply email us and we can start creating your first-class vacation experience.
How and when do I book a tour?
You can book a tour by email or phone. Booking is available up until the day of the tour, depending on availability.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and cash.
What is your cancellation policy?
If your tour is cancelled by Vicksburg Old Town Tours, it is 100% refundable. Tours are NON REFUNDABLE if the tour is cancelled by a guest within 3 days prior to the day of the tour. We offer re-bookings at no charge whenever possible.
What are the physical demands of a tour?
Our tour guides are highly educated and capable but they are only there to guide you. Although unlikely, all tour guests must assume the inherent risks associated with traffic, walking on uneven brick streets, weather and any other normal hazards that may occur.
Does weather affect my tour?
Vicksburg Old Town Tours operates every day of the year, in all weather conditions. While we reserve the right to cancel if the weather is hazardous, this is a rarity. We recommend being overly prepared. Check the local weather the night before and the morning of the tour.
